As the 16th iteration of our annual student-led conference comes to life, we are proud to continue the tradition of making MDSC a truly enriching and unforgettable experience for everyone involved.
MDSC2026 promises to be one of the most exciting weeks of the year, bringing together over 1,400 student doctors at the iconic Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre.
Set against this dynamic backdrop, MDSC2026 will showcase inspiring keynote addresses, forward-thinking academic and research sessions, hands-on workshops, restorative wellness activities, and unforgettable social events. Building on the momentum of our 15-year milestone, we now look ahead with renewed purpose, exploring the evolving future of medicine, medical education and healthcare innovation.
As Co-Convenors, our mission is to elevate engagement across every facet of the conference. We hope to see our student community deeply immersed in the program, forming meaningful connections with peers, mentors, and valued partners. We are especially excited to continue amplifying the diverse voices within our cohort, with sessions, speakers and sponsors that reflect the breadth of experiences and aspirations across modern medicine.

SUBJECT COORDINATOR WELCOME
The MD student conference remains a unique event of the MD course that brings all students together for an amazing opportunity of learning, connection and sharing.
The 2026 student organising team have carefully developed a range of interesting and diverse topics with opportunities to engage in stimulating learning activities of symposia, workshops, research presentations as well as wellness sessions and social gatherings.
We hope that your days at MDSC will inspire discussion, introduce new ideas and foster ongoing learning and collaboration amongst participants. Students will have the chance to meet and learn with academics from the Melbourne Medical School along with the many distinguished guest speakers.
It has been a pleasure to work with Lara and Tobiah and I congratulate them, the executive and the whole organising team for their passion, ideas and tireless dedication over the past year to bring you an amazing MDSC 2026.
