Convenor Welcome
As the 15th iteration of our annual student-led conference comes to life, we are proud to continue the tradition of making MDSC a truly enriching and unforgettable experience for everyone involved.
MDSC2025 promises to be one of the most exciting weeks of the year, bringing together over 1,400 student doctors at the iconic Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre!
Set against this dynamic backdrop, MDSC2025 will showcase inspiring keynote addresses, cutting-edge academic and research sessions, hands-on workshops, restorative wellness activities, and unforgettable social events. Being the 15 anniversary, we aim to build on the strong foundations of our past while looking ahead to the future of medicine and medical education.
As Co-Convenors, our mission is to elevate engagement across all facets of the conference. We hope to see our student community deeply immersed in the program, forging meaningful connections with peers, mentors, and valued partners. We are also proud to highlight the rich diversity of our cohort through sessions, speakers, and sponsors that reflect the varied interests and voices of our community.
MDSC2025 would not be possible without the tireless dedication of our passionate Organising Team. We can’t wait for you to experience what we’ve been building — and to celebrate this 15-year journey with you.
Subject Co-ordinator Welcome
The MD student conference stands as a unique event in the MD that unites all students in one place at one time. It offers an unparalleled opportunity to reconnect with peers, exchange experiences, and engage in stimulating learning activities including symposia, workshops, research presentations as well as wellness sessions, and social gatherings. Students also have the chance to meet and learn with academics from the Melbourne Medical School.
The organisers have carefully curated a wide array of topics and invited a diverse range of guest speakers. We hope to spark discussions that will foster ongoing learning and collaboration among participants.
It has been a privilege to work with Emma and Athena and I congratulate them, the executive and the whole organising team for their passion, ideas and tireless dedication over the past year to bring you an amazing MDSC 2025.

External Officer
Justine is our FARE Office (Feedback, Assessment, Research and External) which is as much work as it sounds! Justine looks after all of our external companies and third parties who are contributing to the content of MDSC2025. If you are from a department within a University, from a business or a local school, or really just about anyone with a fun idea about engaging in MDSC, Justine would love to hear from you!
